Mama, I believe God is raising up a generation. Kids who will stand like Daniel in Babylon. Kids who will rise like Esther “for such a time as this.”

But before God raises them up—He is calling us, as moms, to rise first.

For too long, we’ve danced with the Enemy. We’ve believed lies about who we are. We’ve let fear dictate our decisions. We’ve lived in survival mode—just trying to get through the day. But here’s the truth: peace starts in us. Truth starts in us. Legacy starts in us.

And the time is now.

Our Kids Are Growing Up in Babylon

Let’s be honest: our children are not growing up in a culture that cheers for their faith. We live in a “post-Christian” society—where church attendance is declining, where biblical truth is often mocked and harassed, and where cultural pressure to conform is stronger than ever.

It reminds me of Daniel. He was just a teenager when he was taken into exile in Babylon. He was separated from his family, immersed in a pagan culture, and pressured to abandon his faith. Yet Daniel stood firm. He resolved not to defile himself (Daniel 1:8). He chose faithfulness over compromise, even when it could have cost him his life.

Our children will face their own “Babylon.” They’ll be pressured to bow to cultural idols—whether it’s popularity, comfort, or false versions of truth. We can’t protect them from every temptation, but we can prepare them to stand.

And then there’s Esther. A young woman placed in a position of influence, facing a moment where everything was at risk. She could have stayed silent. She could have chosen safety. But she didn’t. She stepped into her calling, saying, “If I perish, I perish” (Esther 4:16).

That’s the kind of courage this generation will need. And Mama, that courage is planted in the soil of your discipleship today.

Legacy Begins in Us

Here’s the hard truth: you can’t raise Daniels and Esthers if you’re living in survival mode yourself.

I know this because I’ve been there. I thought if I just read enough parenting books, tried enough tips, and learned enough tools, I could “fix” my kids and create “good Christians”. But no matter how hard I tried, I kept finding myself impatient, overwhelmed, and drowning in guilt.

The fruit in my home—snapping at my kids, living frustrated, feeling stuck—was just revealing what was happening in my heart. Luke 6:45 says, “The mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” My heart was full of lies: “I’m failing.” “I’m not enough.” “This is too hard.”

And that’s when God showed me: it wasn’t my kids who needed fixing first. It was me.

Because here’s the truth: your identity becomes your children’s inheritance.

If you are parenting from fear, striving, or guilt—your kids will learn the same. But if you are rooted in Christ—confident in His truth, walking in His peace—that’s what overflows into your home. That’s the legacy you pass on.

Why Moms Must Rise Now

We are living in a cultural moment like no other. The world is louder than ever. The pressures are stronger than ever. And our kids’ faith will be tested in ways we can’t even imagine yet.

But here’s the hope: God has always raised up a remnant. He has always chosen ordinary people who stand firm in extraordinary times. And I believe our kids are part of that generation.

But before they can stand, we must stand.

Before they can be rooted in truth, we must root ourselves in truth.

Before they can be courageous in their calling, we must step into ours.

Moms, God is calling us UP—not to perfect parenting, but to a posture of surrender. Not to controlling every outcome, but to living authentically rooted in Christ so our kids see a faith worth pursuing for themselves.

Because discipleship doesn’t start in a program. It doesn’t start at church. It starts in your lap. Around your dinner table. In the car on the way to school. In the quiet moments when you choose patience instead of anger, prayer instead of panic, truth instead of lies.

Planting Seeds of Courage for Tomorrow

You don’t have to be perfect to raise Daniels and Esthers. But you do have to be rooted.

When you slow down to let God transform your heart—replacing lies with truth, practicing rhythms of peace, anchoring yourself in His Word—your children see it. They see faith lived out, not just talked about. They see courage modeled. And those seeds grow into resilience, faith, and courage in their own lives.

Your daily discipleship today plants seeds of courage for tomorrow.

The Invitation

Mama, the most important spiritual battle in your home may not be about your kids at all. It may be about you.
